Farzad Akhavan is an architect, stage designer, and visual artist born in Tehran in 1980. After earning his degree from the prestigious Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, Farzad has collaborated with renowned institutions and creatives, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, among others.

Since establishing his own studio in 2014, he has also been a passionate educator, giving lectures and guest talks across Europe and the United States. Notable academic affiliations include teaching roles at institutions like FH Erfurt (since 2012), the University of Oklahoma, the University of Detroit Mercy, and Humboldt University in Berlin.

Farzad’s work has been showcased at prominent venues such as the Royal Scottish Academy of Art in Edinburgh and the Planetarium in Berlin, among others. His unique contributions as a stage designer have graced major Berlin theaters, including the Akademie der Künste, Radial System, and the Thikwa Theater.

Currently, he divides his time between Berlin and Tehran, where he continues to develop his multidisciplinary architecture and artistic practice.

Imapct Chronicles
Matters Histories has been reserved into a variety of dissections; these drawings are trying to represent palimpsest of «A» landscape, an unidentified datum which hints past signs, like craters on the moon or skin scar and wrinkles. Chronicles are suggestive phenomena of the future. A future which life is not guaranteed.
